Just Give Me a Good Conspiracy!
I have been a lover of books all my life. But I fell in love with thrillers in the 1970's. I discovered authors like Robert Ludlum, Frederick Forsyth, Michael Chrichton, and Jack Higgans. I couldn't read them fast enough and impatiently waited for their next books to come out. My dream was to one day write a thriller that would captivate readers as these authors had captivated me.
When the urge to write finally overwhelmed me, I wondered where the idea for a story would come from. Then I learned an amazing truth about authors. You don't go out and find a story, it finds you! For some unexplained reason, the idea for a story juts pops in your head. It nibbles at your brain and occupies your thoughts. It invades your sleep and assaults your consciousness. It pulls you into a journey that you simply have to take. The story spins in your mind long before you can put a pen to paper or click on a keyboard. You're swept up in an amazing adventure that doesn't stop until you write the final chapter.
That is the reason I will always love thrillers!
what are sone thrillers you love?
